Cooling
What is heating in the winter is cooling during summer. Best solution is air conditioning. But the equipment can also fail exactly when you need it most, specially during rough offroad trips. As My Zebra has no built in air conditioning, installation costs were also a topic. Further, differences in temperature between inside and outside could also be a subject for lengthy health discussions. I therefore made the decision for a simple solution and finally bought a mobile compressor fridge. Although thermoelectric stuff is much cheaper it is not suitable for my purposes. A reduction of - say - 15 degrees from surrounding temperature is by far not enough if you are driving at 30 degrees Celsius (or above) in the desert. Even the toughest chocolate will melt and the meat will learn very quickly to 'move'.
Else, I rely on the air flow during driving. That is fun. My side wind shields protect me from too much noise and if the temperature really increases beyond bearable level, I open my skylight that releases the heat.
